Brett, “The Right-Brained Business Lawyer,” was never going to fit neatly into any box. When he was four years old, he was placed in a program for mentally challenged children. Six years later, his hometown launched a Talented and Gifted program and he was the first student admitted.

He may be a lawyer by trade, but he values people over process and believes lots of fractured business relationships can be mended for the cost of a beer—rather than further strained through litigation that benefits only the legal trade. The founder of six companies (one of which he and his partner sold in 2006), Brett currently runs his own business law practice.

Brett pioneered The 5-Year Marriage™. His books, The 5-Year Marriage Forever and Sell Your Company: A Nearly Jargon-Free Legal and Financial Guide for Private Business Owners, are both due out in Q1 2017.  He holds a B.A. in Economics from Messiah College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Brett won the RecognizeGood 2016 Ethics in Business and Community Award in the individual category.

With high-energy and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor, Brett is guaranteed to entertain and motivate your audience. Brett talks about startups, strategy, change, culture and relationships.
